MEET THE FOUNDER

Tom Carroll is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tiburon Systems, LLC, an Olympia-based firm specializing in network telecommunications, engineering management, project management, and information technology. Tom is a frequent speaker at industry and technology conferences and published in several industry periodicals about electronic government and successful information technology management in the public sector. Tom has been certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2001, and he holds a Foundation Certificate in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

Tom previously was an Associate Partner with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), where he was responsible for public sector electronic commerce, telecommunications, financial, payroll, and human resource systems account planning, marketing, sales, and implementation in the Western United States. He retired as a Captain in the United States Navy after over 30 years’ service. Tom received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington in 1981 and a master’s degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix in 2008.

Tom Carroll published his first novel, Colt’s Crisis, in 2020. Colt’s Cross, the second book in a planned five-book series, was published in 2021. The third novel, Shanghai Protocol, will be released in December 2022. Read more at https://tomcarrollbooks.com/
